Staying protected against Covid-19
Thank you for choosing Cruise Loch Ness. Our number one priority is to keep our passengers, crew and community safe.
We’ve set out some guidelines for you to follow, including what to bring with you, rules on how to stay safe on board, cleaning and hygiene and most of all, how to have fun while doing it. Stay safe and enjoy the ride.
Before you rock up
Book in advance
To avoid disappointment, we recommend you book your tickets online in advance.
Capacity
We are now operating at full capacity again.
Be social
Check our social media and website for bang up to date information. We’ll do everything we can to keep you up to date when things change.
Check your temperature
For your own safety and that of our crew and other passengers, please do not visit if you have Covid-19 symptoms. If you’ve booked a ticket, get in touch and we can sort an alternative date for you.
Face masks, please
It’s essential you bring your own face mask as we will not be providing them. The Scottish government has made face masks mandatory on public transport and in shops. We’re not bound by the same regulations but we think it’s a similar environment so we advise that you wear a face covering for queing in large crowds and moving around on board the vessels. This includes boarding, disembarking and whilst using the facilities, because physical distancing is more difficult in these situations and there is a risk of close contact with multiple people. Face coverings are not required on ther upper and outer decks or children under the age of five years.
Keep it digital
You don’t need to print your tickets. Have your e-ticket ready to display on your device and we will scan it for onboarding.
Contactless
If you can, please pay for everything on board with contactless payment.
Be sharp
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. When you do arrive, please queue in the designated area. Respect our staff and your fellow passengers.
Pre-boarding the RIB
Your safety on the loch is our number one priority. We will still be providing life jackets and all necessary safety equipment for our RIB trips. We’ll just be getting your kit on in a slightly different way.
Waiting area
Our staff will direct you to a waiting area on arrival
Get yer coat
We won’t be providing outerwear for any of our RIB trips. You all know what the weather can be like, so think waterproofs, jackets and trousers if you have them, hats, gloves, scarves are also a good idea. Eye protection is also recommended so please bring goggles, glasses or sunglasses.
Lifejackets
The team will size you up and give you a lifejacket that fits. They will give you simple instructions on how to adjust and fasten your lifejacket. We ask that adults look after children and help them get their lifejackets on. When everything is fastened, we’ll do a final visual safety check of all lifejackets to make sure the lifejackets are secured safely.
Protecting us all
More screen time
We have added hygiene screens at all of our food and drink service areas.
Hygiene rules
Our team is working hard to make sure everything is spotless, actually, it’s always spotless but we’re going that extra nautical mile just now.
Sanitised lifejackets
We will be fully sanitising all RIB lifejackets regularly.
Deep cleaning our vessels
We will be regularly cleaning all high frequency touch points and handrails. Every area of each vessel with be completely disinfected before the start of each day.
Sanitise stations
We will have a hand sanitise station at the pier which you should use as you are boarding. There are additional stations in various places on board our boats and at our ticket office for you to access before and after your trip. We ask you that you follow government guidelines and wash your hands regularly, for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
PPE
All of our staff will be kitted out in appropriate PPE. This is for your protection as much as theirs.
Stay safe. Respect each other and sit back, relax and take it all in. Enjoy the beauty of Loch Ness in all its wonder.
We are proud to be collaborating with The 3 Glens business community as we reopen and welcome visitors to the area carefully, safely and confidently.
